I’m running to be Contra Costa’s next District Attorney because our county is in dire need of a prosecutor who prioritizes safety over politics.
The current DA's lack of experience and incompetence has endangered public safety in our county.
My goal is to make every part of our community safe, and I need your support.
As a lead prosecutor in the DA’s office, I have prosecuted and won high profile cases against some of the most notorious criminals in Contra Costa’s history. I have broken the chokehold that criminal gangs have had on our most disadvantaged communities and have engaged in meaningful violence reduction by instituting effective strategies to reduce crime and prosecute violent criminals.
Less than four years ago, Diana Becton became the Contra Costa District Attorney. She had no experience as a prosecutor, yet because of her political connections she amassed a significant endorsement list of Democratic elected officials and narrowly won an election against an exceptionally experienced and qualified prosecutor.
As a life-long Democrat I was hopeful, as most in the District Attorney’s office were, that she would be successful. Regrettably she has been the opposite. The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office, once considered the “gold standard” of DA offices in California, has become an office that attorneys can’t wait to leave.
Becton's lack of experience and incompetence has led to a significant drop in conviction rates. This is why I’m running to be Contra Costa’s next District Attorney. I have three decades of proven experience as a prosecutor and know how important the role of a District Attorney can be.
With 36 years of experience advocating and fighting for victims, their families, and the larger community, I can again restore our DA’s office to being among the best in the state.
